Thomas C. Altmann is a Senior Analyst at Silver Point Capital, an investment fund based in Greenwich, CT. Previously he was a Global Strategist at Woodbine Capital Advisors. A native of Austria, he is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania College of Arts and Sciences and the Wharton School of Business and speaks German, English, French, and Spanish. He is passionate about classical music and the arts, traveling, and politics.

Growing up in a very musical, Austrian family paved my path to understand music - as well as loving it. Those house-concerts created a need for harmony, a message deeply ingrained in the structure of music. Of course, every new year began with the Vienna Philharmonic’s “Neujahr-Concert” ! What grandiosity, in playing those Strauss Walzes so soulfully that the music quite overwhelmed you.
